Day Of Appointment
Arrive with Clean, product-Free Skin

wHAt TO Wear
Come dressed in:
- Loose, dark clothing
- Avoid tight straps or waistbands
- Open sandals if possible
- Underwear that may get bronzer transfer
Minor bronzer transfer may occur before your first rinse but typically washes out of most fabrics.
DURING YOUR TAN
Your appointment takes about 5–10 minutes.
Your therapist will:
- Consult on your desired color
- Offer you disposables if you wish
- Apply sticky feet protection
- Apply a fine mist of tanning solution
- Gently dry you with warm air
- Dust you with our awesome finishing powder
- Ensure you feel comfortable before leaving
- Provide post care advice
You’ll see instant cosmetic color that continues developing over the next 2–8 hours, depending on your formula.
AFTER YOUR SPRAY TAN
First 2–8 Hours (Development Time)
While your tan develops, avoid:
- Water Sweating
- Swimming
- Tight clothing
- Saunas or hot spas
Your salon will advise your exact rinse time.
First Shower
- Shower in lukewarm water only.
- You may see bronzer rinse away – this is normal. Your developed tan remains and will settle over the next 24 hours.
- Use a gentle wash- SunFX Body Wash and pat dry.
HOW TO MAKE YOUR TAN LAST LONGER
With proper care, your SunFX tan can last 5–10 days.
To extend your glow:
- Moisturize daily
- Avoid harsh soaps
- Pat dry after showering
- Stay well hydrated

What can shorten your tan
While your SunFX tan is designed to fade naturally and evenly, certain habits can accelerate the process:
- Long, hot baths
- Extended time in chlorinated pools or hot tubs
- Harsh soaps or exfoliating products
- Excessive friction from tight clothing
- Frequent shaving over the same areas
These factors increase skin turnover and can cause your tan to fade more quickly or unevenly.
Your glow will fade gradually as your skin naturally renews — proper care simply helps it last beautifully.
